The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is coming to South Charleston, West
Virginia for the Memorial Day weekend. The Patriot Guard Riders have been
asked to escort the Wall from Huntington to South Charleston on 23 May; the

Statue to Honor 'Father' of Green Berets

Fort Bragg tomorrow will dedicate a statue commemorating an historic 1961 meeting between then-Brig. Gen. William P. Yarborough and President John F. Kennedy.

Yarborough spent his last years in Southern Pines until his death at age 93.

The statue shows him appearing before the president with his men, all wearing what was, at the time, a forbidden green beret.
